What Causes Sores On Scalp

May 24th, 2010 by Job King No comments »

Sores on Scalp and Acne

Lots of people suffer from sores on the scalp.  These sores can stem from several skin and scalp conditions.  What may start as small bumps or pimples can turn into blisters and painful sores.  Some common conditions that can lead to sores on the scalp are:  contact dermatitis, a viral infection, scalp acne, folliculitits, impetigo, epidermal or sebaceous cysts, or skin cancer.

Skin cancer should always be ruled out first.  Caner on the scalp usually occurs in areas that are not completely covered with hair, where the sun can still get through.  It does not happen as often on the scalp as on other areas of the body, but it is still a possibility.  It will usually look like a mole or a sore that will not go away.  Sometime it may just be a persistent irritation that you cannot get rid of.  There are three common types of skin cancer- basal cell, squamous cell, and melanoma.  If a mole has changes in size or shape or a sore will not go away in a reasonable period of time, you should have it checked out by a doctor or dermatologist.

An oil balance on the scalp is very important.  When the scalp is overly dry the hair follicle can be left open.  This allows oil and bacteria to become trapped down inside the hair follicle.  When this happens bumps and scalp acne can occur.  Also an infection known as folliculitits often shows up.  These bumps and sores can be a variety of sizes, may vary in size and may or may not be able to be popped.   Sever folliculitis may even cause painful red boils or cysts.  This condition is very itchy and scratching can cause the problem to worsen.  This is usually when we see open sores.  A shampoo that deep cleans the follicle is needed to keep the oil from getting trapped.

Scalp sores can also be Contact dermatitis is an irritation or an allergic reaction to something.  The scalp often comes into contact with harsh chemicals found in many hair products like shampoo, conditioners, and hair dyes.  These chemicals often lead to contact dermatitis and an overly dry scalp.  This may result in sores on the scalp that are dry.

You should avoid too much or too little oil on the scalp.    The correct balance of oil is the main thing that leads to a healthy scalp.   Once a problem like scalp sores, blistering and crusting occur you must bring the balance back to the scalp.  This can be accomplished without harsh chemicals that tend to over dry.   A natural zinc based product can work well to clean deep down in the hair follicle as well as balance the production of the sebaceous gland, which produces oil on the scalp.

How to Start a Business in Ecommerce

February 2nd, 2010 by Job King No comments »

The internet is exploding with more and more people choosing to buy products, and services, over the internet.  Because of this many people want to know how to start an ecommerce business.  It is really not complicated, but there are some steps that need to be followed in order to have a successful internet business.

Starting an ecommerce business is not like starting a traditional business.  While there will be some cost involved, it is nominal when compared with the cost of starting a traditional “brick and mortar” business.  It is also possible, and advisable, to start your online business without quiting your day job.  Online businesses tend to start out slowly, but with the right steps they can grow over time from supplemental income to full time income.

Here are the basic steps to get your internet business going:

Find A Niche- This may be the most important thing that you do.  You may want to go with what you know or maybe a hobby.  Whatever it is you will need to do research to determine that there is a demand for your product.

Take a Look at the Competition- Research your competitors, if your product is in demand their will definitely be competitors.  You will want to look at their websites to determine how professional it is, the variety of products, search engine ranking, Google page rank, keywords, and back links.

Establish a Business Entity-  You will need to get a tax ID for your state.  There are online services that make this easy and relatively inexpensive.  Be sure to open a business checking account as well.

Choose a Domain Name & Create a Website- You can get a new domain name or purchase one that someone else has let expire.  A successful ecommerce business needs to have a professionally looking website.  If you don’t know how to design this yourself, don’t worry.  You can have one designed for you or you can choose a website template.  There are many templates available at a low cost.  Website templates can be customized relatively easy with a program such as Frontpage.  You can also choose to do an e-commerce store through something like Yahoo Store.  This is a solution that will set everything up for such as design solutions and payment methods.

Add a Shopping Cart- You have to have a way for your customers to order and pay for their items.   There are quite a few options for shopping carts.   You may choose to set up your own merchant account to process credit cards or choose a hosted shopping cart that will process cards for you.  A fully integrated shopping cart is a good way to go once you are making more money.  It has more options but will cost more to set up in the beginning.

The last thing you have to do is probably the most important.  Market you website.   There is a lot that goes into marketing.  First submit your site to the directories of Google, Ask, Yahoo, Alta Vista, and other search engines.  Add content and keywords to you site.  The more content and correct keywords you have the higher you will show up in the search engines.  It is also important to build links.  One way that this can be done is through article marketing, submitting articles related to what you are selling to various article sites.

An ecommerce business can be very profitable and rewarding, but it will take hard work and diligence to get it going.

3) Temps can fill in for those school events and plays for hours at a time.

4) Most dentists allow hygienists to pick up additional days by simply running two hygineist that day
